ACM Compatibility
GstarCAD Mechanical supports bidirectional ACM data exchange, which other CAD systems do not.
Users can modify ACM data and send it back to ACM. With seamless data transfer and high compatibility, mixed use with ACM becomes a reality.

Dynamic input
Dynamic Input provides a command interface near the cursor to help you focus on the drawing area. Save time typing and searching for a longer or shorter command. Dynamic Input can autocomplete the command name in one go.

Properties and tools palette
The Properties palette displays the properties of the selected object or set of objects. You can set a new value to change any property that can be changed. The tool palette provides an efficient method for organizing and arranging blocks.

Layer Properties Manager and Layer States Manager
The Layer Properties Manager displays a list of layers in the drawing and their properties. You can add, delete, and rename layers, change their properties, set property overrides for layout viewports, add layer descriptions, and apply changes in real time.
The Layer State Manager allows you to save the current layer property settings in a named layer state and then restore those settings later.

Command line
- You can enter a command using the keyboard. You can also repeat the previous command by pressing Enter or Space without entering a command.

Clean screen
— If you want to maximize your drawing space, press CTRL+0 or click the Clean Screen icon to the right of the status bar to hide toolbars, windows, or the ribbon.

File tabs
— File tabs allow you to quickly switch between opening images, as well as change the opening order by dragging tabs. They also have built-in features such as saving, closing, auditing, and properties.

Locking the user interface
— Lock the toolbar/window position. The lock icon in the status bar shows whether the toolbar/window is locked. Click the icon to display the lock options.
