The daughter of a highly decorated English colonel, Jane Myer had led a very sheltered life. Protected at all costs from world of the military, she knew little about violence and rancor until her father was ordered on a new mission. At the outset of World War II, Jane finds herself on new ground at an English military base in Germany. For the young woman, the enemy is a line in the distance.
